BricsCAD Tutorial : Auto Save In Custom Format (BricsCAD)

January 08, 2021 0

Usually when completing a drawing, we use the Save statement (Ctrl + S). BricsCad will display a dialog and allow us to choose the desired format.

However in the projects I have been involved in, the majority of clients expect the drawing to be saved in a fixed format.

For example: AutoCAD2000 (* dwg)…

So when saving drawings in large quantity, it will be time-consuming if we manually select for each drawing.

How can we solve this problem?

Today I will show you how we can automatically save a BricsCAD drawing in a custom format:

Step 1: Specify the Value (SaveFormat) of the desired format.

Click Settings -> Settings -> Program Options -> Open and Save -> Save Format:

We see the value of our desired format.

Here I will be for example my desired format is DWG2000 then the corresponding desired value will be 16.

Step 2: Use the Save Format command on Command Line

Step 3: Enter the value specified in Step 1

After Step 3 , We Use Save Command (Ctrl + S) your drawing will be auto save in your desired format.

Note: If you want to show Dialog again .Set the value of SaveFormat is 0.
